City of Sails Toastmasters club is a dynamic club with a small core of creative and interesting members who endeavor to make every meeting stimulating and valuable. Meetings are held fortnightly and your participation can revolve around your schedule and be tailored to the time and effort that you can afford; Toastmasters does not require extensive time and preparation, meetings are one hour and half on an every 2nd week schedule, your personal preparation can depend on your commitments and the time you would like to focus on speech and leadership role preparation; you can choose to do speeches at your own pace and according to your own timetable.
This also highlights another benefit of City of Sails club where if you would like to accelerate your progress through the Competent Communication tasks, there are plenty of opportunities to do speeches on a regular basis and finish a manual within a year; other larger clubs may have limited speaking opportunities and take much longer to achieve your objectives. So City of Sails is open to dual membership for those who are struggling to find opportunities to complete Competent Communication objectives.
